This section is an homage to the Iconic Manet painting 'Olympia'. We played with the iconography for a while.
Manet began to work on it in 1863 to present it at the Salon des Refusés (Salon of the Rejected) that same year.
However, the work was not exhibited until 1865, at the Paris Salon, where it caused a great scandal, since
although the public and critics accepted nudes in mythological works, but not when it came to
realistic nudes. The model with her posture recalls works by Titian, Velázquez, Goya and
Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres. The name of the painting was not given by its director but by Charles Baudelaire.
